** 2-3 servings of milk, cheese, yogurt or milk substitutes a day.
** Occasional use of fats, oils, and sweets, especially oils.
** 6-11 servings of grains a day, especially whole grains.
** 8+ glasses of water a day is best for peak energy all day long. It also helps to keep you hydrated.
Healthy alternative
Food Pyramid weight loss is a valuable alternative to the more commercial diet methods. The US FDA-s Food Pyramid focuses on eating lots of fruits, vegetables, and grains. Focusing your diet around these core elements would allow you to cut down on calorie intake and increasing the amount of nutrients in the body, thereby resulting in weight loss.
