Salmon & Dill Macaroni - A Fancy Yet Simple Weight Loss Recipe

I found this recipe in an awesome health mag we have here in Australia and thought it looked to good not to pass on!

Use this for your Friday night dinner party and not only will you look like a pro you won’t have to work it off at an early Saturday gym class! So whats in this Salmon and Dill Macaroni weight loss recipe - read on

Salmon & Dill Macaroni

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups of dried macaroni
Low Fat Cooking Oil Spray
2 Salmon Steaks (skin removed)
375 ml can Evaporated Milk (98.5% fat free brand)
2 Garlic Cloves
40g Baby Spinach Leaves
4 Green Onions (chopped finely)
2 tablespoons chopped Dill

Weight Loss Recipe Method

1. Cook pasta following the instructions on the packet. Drain and return to pan.

2. Spray salmon with low fat cooking oil. Heat large frying pan and cook salmon for 3 minutes each side.

3. After cooking the salmon use a fork to flake into large pieces.

4. Add milk and garlic to the frying pan and bring to a simmer. Add the cooked pasta and stir until hot then remove from the heat.

5. Finally stir in spinach, onions, dill and salmon until the spinach begins to wilt.

6. Divide between serving bowls and serve immediately.

Per Serve = Energy: 1590kJ. Protein: 28.5g. Total Fat: 9.2g. Carbs: 44.6g.

This is a great weight loss recipe that proves that healthy food doesn’t need to be boring!

Breakfast truly is the most important meal of the day - no that wasn’t just a myth your mum used to get you to eat that porridge. Breakfast kickstarts your metabolism, fills up your tummy and helps prevent your mid-morning chocolate cravings when you get to work! Obviously you’re not going to get any benefit from cramming bacon and buttered toast down your throat (sorry to disappoint you) but making great, healthy breakfast recipes for weight loss will get you the best possible start to the day!

Egg White Omelettes are a yummy breakfast idea, follow this recipe and you’ll feel great straight out of bed in the morning - well as good as you can before going to work!!!

Egg White Omelette Recipe

Ingredients

4 Egg Whites
Brown Onion
1/2 Tomato
1/4 Courgette
Salt and Pepper

Method

Crack 4 egg whites into a mixing bowl. Do this by making a small crack in the egg shell and let the egg white drain out without letting the yolk slip through - its surprisingly easy. Chop onion, tomato and courgette and mix with the egg whites. Add 1 tsp of olive oil to the frying pan and pour in the mixture. Flip as required and serve with salt and pepper.

Breakfast is important for everyone and people trying to lose weight are NO exception. If anything it is more important for those trying to get rid of some extra weight to eat first thing in the morning. Eating breakfast kickstarts your metabolism allowing you to burn calories from get go - and it also helps stop that grumbling stomach that hits me at 10am WITHOUT FAIL if I skip brekkie!

I put together this yummy recipe that I’ve had maaaannnnnny times now and I LOVE IT and I’m not even a breakfast person normally. Check out this yummy Yoghurt Muesli cup weight loss recipe.

Ingredients

1/2 Banana
3/4 Cup Untoasted Muesli
1/2 Cup Low Fat or Non Fat Yoghurt
1/4 Cup Frozen Berries

Method

Grab a clean, tall glass and get ready to layer your delicious breakfast meal. Slice 1/2 a banana and layer on the bottom of the glass. Sprinkle some of the muesli on top of the banana, then some yoghurt followed by some berries. Continue until the glass is full :)
