This red hot babe has graced the world’s most prestigious runways and there’s not stopping her yet. Arguably the most famous member of the Victoria Secret Angels, Heidi is a wife and mother of 3 children – YES THREE! So lets have a look at how Heidi Klum gets those measurements.

heidi klum measurementsGerman Heidi Klum has dabbled in everything. While her main reign has been as a supermodel, Heidi has also grabbed attention as a fashion designer, TV producer, actress and occassional singer.

Heidi has appeared on a number of TV series including Sex and The City and Spin City among others. But thats not it, Heidi also graced the movie screens in Ella Enchanted, The Devil Wears Prada and The Life and Death of Peter Sellers and more.

Heidi Klum was also the executive product of the well known reality show Project Runway in which budding fashion designers competed for a chance to showcase at New York Fashion Week.

Clever cookie huh! So back to THAT body . . .

What we all want to know is HOW Heidi Klum’s achieved those awe inspiring measurements. Those measurements that got her back on the runway just 7 WEEKS after giving birth to son Henry. Thats her in the silver outfit just 7 weeks later – Your jaw just dropped right? I know mine did!

Heidi Klum Diet

Heidi Klum used David Kirsch’s ‘The Ultimate New York Diet’ to get in shape after giving birth.

The Ultimate New York Diet involves 3 phases:

Phase 1

* Two weeks long
* Anti-bloating foods
* Say no to coffee, alcohol, bread, sweets, starchy carbs, fruit
* Say yes to egg whites, salmon, low GI veges, whey protein, chicken, nuts
* You will aim for 800 – 1000 calories a day

Phase 2

* Two weeks long
* Similar foods to phase 1 but you can add some starchy carbs like sweet potato, broccoli etc
* You will aim for 900-1000 calories a day

Phase 3

* This is the "long term" phase that you should continue to follow
* You will be allowed to incorporate some of the banned foods (from the previous phases) in moderation.

Heidi Klum ate 5 meals a day (once every 3 hours) but only between 7am and 7pm. David Kirsch made sure that even if Heidi only had 5 minutes to spare she at least had a protein shake as a snack.

The David Kirsch workout is quite strenuous involving 45 minutes of cardio work and another 45 minutes of strength training/body sculpting exercises.

Heidi Klum Measurements Some of the strength exercises David had yummy mummy Heidi Klum doing were:

Reverse Lunges
Squat Thrusts
Shadowboxing
Pushups
Stepups
Reverse Crunches

Well the workout obviously works because Heidi was back on the runway for Victoria Secrets lingerie in just SEVEN WEEKS!

This diet worked well for Heidi because she had a deadline and needed to reshape her body. This diet isn’t easy but without a doubt will give you results if you have something coming up you HAVE to be ready for.

Heidi lives a healthy lifestyle anyway with husband Seal and her 3 kids. She says, ‘I think I have pretty good nutrition and fitness habits, and actually, it’s my lifestyle in general. I don’t go overboard with anything. I eat what I want, but not loads of anything unhealthy. And I exercise when I can, but not every single day or when I’m exhausted.’
